We generally advise that you do not publish or communicate personal information, or at least limit the personal information that you publish or communicate, to the public via our online forum services.

The information requested allows us to perform our professional services for you.

Updating your personal information
It is important to us that the personal information we have about you is accurate and up to date. During the course of our relationship with you we may ask you to notify us if any of your personal information has changed.
If you would like make any changes to your personal information, you can contact us. We will normally depend on you to ensure the data we hold about you is accurate or complete.
We will retain the content of any e-mail which you send us, if we think that we have a legal requirement to do so. Your e-mail message content may be monitored by our employees for security issues including where e-mail abuse is suspected; our response to you may be monitored for quality assurance issues.

SPAM means unsolicited advertising material sent via email. We do not send this type of communication. If you have supplied your email address to us we may however use this to promote our products, where you have indicated your agreement to do so. If you receive an email from us at any time and no longer wish to receive this sort of communication, you can forward an email, including the our email address from which you received your email, to sydney@charteredtaxaccountants.com.au. We will then take off your email address from our records within 5 business days of receiving your instructions.

Access and correction to your personal information
We will present you with access to the personal data we keep about you. You may ask for access to any of the personal information we have about you any time.
We may charge a fee for our expenses of retrieving and giving the information to you.
According to the type of request that you make we may respond to your request immediately, otherwise we usually reply to you within seven days of getting your request. We may have to get in touch with other entities to properly investigate your request.
There may be situations where we are not required to supply you with access to your personal information, for instance, if the information concerns existing or anticipated legal proceedings, or if your request is vexatious.
An explanation will be presented to you if we deny you access to the personal information we keep about you.
If any of the personal information we keep with regards to you is wrong, inaccurate or outdated you may ask that we correct the information. If appropriate we will correct the personal information. At the time of the request, otherwise, we will offer an initial response to you within seven days of getting your request. Where practical, and after our investigation, we will provide you with details about whether we have changed the personal information within 30 days.
We may have to speak with other entities as part of our investigation.
If we decline to correct personal information we will provide you with our reasons for not correcting the information.
